The Spain Pavilion - EPCOT Center
The Spain Pavilion is a vibrant new addition to EPCOT’s World Showcase, celebrating the country’s rich artistic heritage, diverse regional cultures, and flavorful cuisine. Guests enter through a stunning Gaudí-inspired mosaic staircase surrounded by lush gardens and the iconic ceramic dragon fountain. The lower level features two artisan shops while a winding garden trail and incorporated elevators provide access to the upper terraces, where a full-service restaurant and outdoor performance plaza overlook the World Showcase lagoon. Built above the existing Walt Disney Imagineering Campus, the pavilion blends architecture, nature, and culture into an immersive experience that honors Spain’s spirit of creativity, tradition, and festivity.
The Spain Pavilion:
A Spirited Tapestry of Art, Flavor, and Fiesta.

Guests are welcomed into the Spain Pavilion through an awe-inspiring gateway inspired by Antoni Gaudí’s Park Güell in Barcelona. A wide, elegant staircase tiled with broken mosaic glass winds upward through a lush garden setting, crowned by a colorful dragon fountain—El Drac—whose ceramic scales shimmer in the Florida sun.
Towering palms, flowering bougainvillea, and wild Mediterranean foliage climb around sculptural stonework and twisted columns, evoking the surreal beauty of Gaudí’s dreamlike world. The richly textured rough stone columns and planters contrast beautifully with the smooth, curving mosaic benches, offering guests places to pause and soak in the atmosphere. Above the shop entrances sits a crowning rainbow of ceramic tile work, adding a playful burst of color that completes the whimsical yet masterfully crafted façade.
The ambiance is both vibrant and serene, as music drifts softly through the air and visitors step into a joyful celebration of Spanish artistry, history, and nature.

Flanking the lower plaza are two charming artisan shops, each centered around a central elevator, allowing all guests to ascend to the upper level with ease:
“La Casa de los Tesoros” ("House of Treasures"), offering hand-painted ceramics, Spanish textiles, and flamenco attire.
“Sabor y Sol” ("Flavor and Sun"), a gourmet boutique with olive oils, turrón, jamón ibérico, and wines from La Rioja.
Atop the main staircase, on the third terrace, sits the signature restaurant, “El Jardín Encantado” ("The Enchanted Garden"), This grand dining hall is sheltered beneath a massive ceiling, glittering with intricate white and gold mosaic tile work that reflects the soft ambient light. Towering travertine columns surround the space, blending natural stone elegance with ornate Spanish artistry. Inside, guests enjoy a refined menu of classic dishes—paella, grilled octopus, and sangría—within a space that feels simultaneously monumental and warmly inviting. Between the open air columns guests can take in sweeping views of the World Showcase, making every meal a celebration of Spain’s beauty and flavor.
-
Cleverly integrated into EPCOT’s existing infrastructure, the Spain Pavilion is built directly over the current Walt Disney Imagineering Campus located between the Germany and Italy pavilions. This elevated design allows the existing operations to remain completely undisturbed—Imagineers continue their work behind the scenes while guests explore above. By utilizing vertical layering and open-air features, the pavilion maximizes beauty without impacting backstage functionality, demonstrating a harmony between creative space and guest-facing innovation.
-
At the top level of the pavilion, just above the restaurant, lies a grand open-air terrace with panoramic views of the World Showcase lagoon. This elevated space serves as the “Plaza del Sol” (“Plaza of the Sun”), a cultural hub that hosts daily flamenco performances complete with live guitar, dancers in vibrant dresses, and rhythmic clapping that echoes through the air.
In the evenings, the terrace transforms into a glowing celebration spot, perfect for seasonal festivals and storytelling events under the stars. Customizable staging areas, lighting, and integrated shade options allow for a variety of cultural showcases from across Spain’s diverse regions.
-
Winding along both outer edges of the pavilion is “El Sendero de los Sueños” ("The Path of Dreams"), a shaded and wheelchair-accessible garden trail that ascends from the entrance level to the dining and performance terraces above. This serene path is bordered by Gaudí-style stone columns, trickling waterfalls, and vibrant Mediterranean plantings. Natural rock formations frame quiet alcoves and mosaic benches, inviting guests to pause and take in the soft sounds of running water and rustling leaves. The garden trail offers a tranquil, scenic alternative to the main stairway and serves as a living art piece, blending ecology and design into a multi-sensory experience.
